Research fraud, privatization scams, general bloodymindedness (Do Not Resuscitate #366)

On “Do Not Resuscitate we look at all the ways we enrich intermediaries instead of spending that money on healthcare. This week, there's a huge scandal on scientific fraud and plenty of appalling corporate behavior, including some juicy legal settlements for those who get caught. I added a new category, general bloody-mindedness.
